LHS Bands
Marching Band
All band students are required to participate in marching band. Members of the Marching Abes are also required to attend a week of band camp in the summer prior to the upcoming school year, usually around the beginning of August. Students are responsible for a minimal band camp fee, uniform cleaning fee, and a "Lincoln Bands" red polo shirt, which they should already own from middle school. The marching band performs at all home football games, selected away games, the LHS Homecoming Parade, and the Michigan School Band & Orchestra Association (MSBOA) District 16 Marching Band Festival.
Symphonic Winds
The Symphonic Winds is an audition-only, upper-level group and is the most advanced performing ensemble at Lincoln High School. They perform at 3-5 concerts a year, including MSBOA District 16 Festival and possibly state festival, including commencement ceremonies in June. Members are highly encouraged to participate in Solo & Ensemble Festival at the district and state level. Grading is based on attendance, preparation, and SmartMusic assignments. All students are required to have the "Lincoln Bands" red polo shirt and black socks/dress pants/dress shoes as their concert uniform.
